Pleats at the left shoulder feed into the neckline drape, while a single pleat at the left waist adds shape and a more commercial finish to the silhouette. The dress is finished with three 18 ligne self-covered buttons and dye-to-match elastic loops at the right shoulder, providing an easy way into the dress while forming part of the design detail. Studio Iole developed the pattern as the creative pattern cutter, working through the drape, neckline, shoulder pleats, back cut-away and overall proportions using CLO3D mock-ups alongside the designers before moving into sampling.
